About Us
The Lakewood Ranch Moms Group was founded to help build a community of moms living in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. The leaders of the group strive to understand the everyday challenges that all moms face – whether a stay-at-home mom or a working mom.

Our group comes together to share experiences, hobbies, social activities, and to build lasting friendships. We are an organized volunteer group working together to improve our surrounding communities.

Mission:
Informing, supporting and building friendships and community among mothers, children and their families of Lakewood Ranch through organized social activities as well as performing charitable work within our community.
Membership:
  • A member is defined as a current dues paying mother with children under the age of 18 who is residing within Lakewood Ranch, or once resided in Lakewood Ranch at the time of joining the group. Should a member who no longer lives in Lakewood Ranch let her membership dues lapse, she will no longer be eligible to be a member of the group.
  • A member is required to volunteer to deliver a meal for the Sunshine Committee at least once per year.
  • A member is required to volunteer on one committee at least once per year. This can be as a committee head or to assist a committee head with an activity.

Dues:
  • Dues shall be determined by the President, Vice-President and Treasurer and based on financial statements.
  • Dues are due June 1 of each year.
  • Should a new member join after 12/31, that new member should pay half of the joining price. She would be expected to renew her membership at the designated time.
Why You Must Be A LWR Resident:

Our group is a Lakewood Ranch Community Activities Corporation-sanctioned club.  As such, we receive certain privileges.  These include use of "Lakewood Ranch" in our group name, free use of community facilities, representation on the Digital Village, and inclusion in Club News in the "Around The Ranch" publication.

For purposes of determining who lives in Lakewood Ranch, we follow LWRCAC's definition of a Lakewood Ranch resident.  Anyone who lives in Greenbrook, Riverwalk, Summerfield, Edgewater, Country Club, Country Club East, Lake Club or Central Park is considered a resident. These communities make up CDDs 1-6 which support the existence of the LWRCAC.

In addition to being a LWR resident, the person seeking to join our group should be the mother of children living at home.
